The Connecticut Association of Adult and Continuing Education (CAACE) is a non-profit dedicated to supporting and advocating on behalf of adult education programs across the state for our adult learners.
Our Mission Statement: Our purpose is to provide leadership in advancing the concept of lifelong learning, and to conduct, promote, and sponsor professional development conferences and activities. CAACE is the only adult education professional organization that advocates for continued and increased Federal and State adult education funding.

As a field, we united to let legislators know that adult education changes lives and stimulates the economy. Legislators listened and added $82 million and staved off $200 million in funding cuts to our WIOA Title II funding stream. We must continue to contact them!

Amazon Career Choice
The "Reducing Barriers to Employment" initiative enables adult learners to apply for jobs they would otherwise not be eligible for, making $15–$19 per hour, plus retirement package plus, "College Choice" where Amazon will pay for 80%–95% of their education. Amazon also hosts site visits and field trips, enabling adult learners to tour the facility.

CAACE provides access to over 20,000 adult learners across every community. Our Career Counselors guide learners to post-secondary academic and certification programs associated with the American Jobs Centers and the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities.
CAACE is responsible for advocating with the State Legislature in support of all adult learners
Our programs support over 20,000 learners a year and awarded 1,014 diplomas in 2023
Offer programming in every community in the state regardless of size
Employ over 1,000 full and part time teachers and support staff as well as 500 volunteers
We can educate a student for less than $2,700 per year
Membership Fees are based on the number of employees your association has.
