Berlin Adult Education

Position:  GED English Teacher

Qualifications: Ct. Teaching Certificate 009, 088, or 111

Responsibilities: Provide English instruction to prepare students for the CT. GED Test. Plan lessons within the guidelines of the Adult Education Program using methods, textbooks, and materials as are necessary to maximize the learning opportunities of each student. Assess the achievement of students on a regular basis. Provide computer instruction to prepare the students for the On-line GED test.  Maintain accurate records, which include attendance and assessment scores. Other duties as required.

Terms of Employment: Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 pm; (2) 14 Week Sessions - September-December and January-May

Salary: $38.07 per hour plus one half-hour prep time per class

New Haven Adult Education Center

 

New Haven Adult Education Center is looking for part-time certified evening teachers

What:  Evening Teaching Opportunity at New Haven Adult & Continuing Education Center.   ESOL, GED, and Spanish GED instructors needed for the upcoming fall semester.  

When:  Evening classes are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 6:00-pm-8:00pm.  Classes begin on September 9, 2019  and run to June 4,  2020.   Classes follow the NHPS Calendar for vacations and holidays.  

 Who:  Teachers with any K-12 certification are eligible to apply.  TESOL, Bilingual, Adult Education certifications are preferred.   Certified teachers will earn $32.00 per hour

General description: Develops marketing framework and produces the print material  to disseminate information about Adult Ed program offerings, uses social media to promote programs and registration; assists with hardware and educational software installation and maintenance.
